Doors for West Bromwich homes are manufactured by Amber Windows at Coleshill, and the survey and fitting are done by our own team. The question we hear most is which type to pick, so we have set out the choice.
A uPVC door is made of plastic with a steel reinforced core. A composite door is made from several materials pressed and glued under pressure, which makes it thicker. The uPVC doors come in solids, woodgrain and light oak. Composite doors have a wider colour spread, including white, rosewood, oak, green, red, blue and black.

uPVC is weatherproof. It does not corrode, fade, rust, flake or rot, so ongoing care means regular cleaning. That is a real advantage over wood and metal, which are more demanding over the years.
A well-insulated door helps keep the house comfortable and works as a noise barrier. Glass can be clear, tinted, decorative or safety glass, and you can add a letter box, a spy hole, handles or a knocker. For back doors, a pet flap fits into the lower panel.
Two-colour doors, often with a white inside, are becoming popular. Woodgrain foils such as Golden Oak and Rosewood look much like real wood. Non-standard colours and textures do affect the cost, which your written quote will explain.
We make them to measure and fit them. Our locations page has more.
Our service is aimed at homeowners, with a survey, a quote and a fitting. For anything else, call and we will tell you if we can help.
Yes. Full height windows can sit alongside a door, and we can plan the two together. See our windows.
