Amber Windows has fitted new uPVC windows at this white-rendered semi-detached house in Birmingham, B30. The order covered two bay windows and two more windows, with a new black front door, and it started with a free home survey. Everything was made to measure in Coleshill.
The before photo shows the front of the house, with a bay on each floor, a small window beside the front door and the old white uPVC door with a large glass panel. The after photo is the same front once the work was finished. Both bays now have new white uPVC windows, with top lights in the ground-floor bay and wide clear panes above, and the window over the door and the narrow window beside it have been replaced too. The entrance has a new black front door with a half-moon glass detail and chrome furniture, set in a white frame. The render, the roof and the front garden were left as they were.
Each section of a bay is measured on its own so the new frames sit square under the bay roof. At the free home survey, our surveyor measures both bays, the other windows and the door opening, checks the sills and the render, and talks you through glass, opening styles and door colours such as black. Everything is then built to size in Coleshill.
