Amber Windows has fitted two new three-sided uPVC bay windows and three more uPVC windows at this rendered terraced house in Coventry, CV6. The job started with a free home survey, and every window was made to measure in Coleshill.
The before photo shows the front of the house, with stacked bays on the ground and first floors, a first-floor window over the porch and a sage-green front door. The old windows had white frames with leaded diamond glass. The after photo is the same front with the new white uPVC windows in: both bays and the window over the porch now have clear glass, with top openers in the bays. Scaffolding was put up so the first-floor windows could be fitted safely, and it was still in place when the photo was taken. The front door, the porch roof and the garden wall were not part of this job.
Three-sided bays need every angle measured so the frames sit square under the bay roof. At the free home survey, our surveyor measures each section of both bays and the other windows, checks the sills and the render, and talks you through glass choices, such as swapping leaded glass for clear glass. Our surveyor also checks whether scaffolding is needed for the first floor. The windows are then built to size in Coleshill.
