Amber Windows is replacing the windows at this tall red-brick Victorian villa in Erdington, B24. The after photo was taken while the installation was still in progress, with scaffolding up around the ground-floor bay. As with every job, it began with a free home survey, and the windows were made to measure in Coleshill.
The order covers ten uPVC windows and a composite front door. The before photo, taken at dusk, shows the full height of the house: mock-Tudor gable, two arched first-floor windows and a ground-floor bay with older white frames. In the after photo, the bay already has its new white frames, with a large central pane and slim side windows set between the brick piers, while scaffolding stays in place for the work still to be done higher up. The arched front doorway and the decorative brickwork are untouched.
A three-storey period house needs careful planning. At the free home survey, our surveyor measures every opening, checks how much access is needed for the upper floors, including scaffolding, and talks you through styles that suit a Victorian house. The windows are then built to size in Coleshill.
Every window on this job is covered by our comprehensive guarantee. Amber Windows is FENSA registered, and finance is available if you would like to spread the cost.
