This red-brick terraced house in Ilkeston, DE7, has new white uPVC windows and a new composite door from Amber Windows. The order covered seven windows and the door, and it started with a free home survey. Everything was made to measure in Coleshill.
The before photo shows the front of the house with its old white windows, which had leaded diamond glass, and a white uPVC door with leaded glass beside a small window and a rendered panel. The after photo is the same front as the fitters were finishing off. Both first-floor windows and the ground-floor window now have new white uPVC windows with clear glass, the small window by the door has been replaced, and the doorway is standing open with the new door in place. At the back of the house, scaffolding was put up so the first-floor windows over the single-storey roof could be fitted safely. The brickwork and the front garden were left as they were.
